How to Create a Facebook Welcome Page for Your Business

Alright homies, here’s a little ‘how to’ tip for which you’re going to love me forever. I recently built a couple of welcome pages for COMMAND C and Greenpoint Coworking. A welcome page is a professional way to convey to your fans who you are, show off some dope design skills, offer a deal, promote a sale, and brand your life away. We can help you design your welcome page or you can follow these simple steps and get it done yourself…

These are the ones I created:

1. Install this Static FBML application by clicking “Add to My Page”

2. Click on Edit Page

3. Click on Apps, then click on Go to App

4. Enter HTML for your page. Hint: You can create an image and upload it to a service like Photobucket, and then copy and paste the HTML code into this window. Images should be around 520px wide to fill the space. Also, don’t forget to name your page.

5. Last but not least, set your welcome tab to be the default for your page so your visitors see that first. Click on Settings on your wall page:

Change the Default Landing Tab to your welcome tab.

BOOYAH. Now show me you love me by liking our pages:

I am not able to see the image I have saved in Photobucket. All I get is an X in place of the image. Any clues? The HTML code is just like the one on your example here.

    • Have you checked the file format? Is it a jpeg or a png?

  3. Manuel Lorenzo

    it is a jpeg

    • Hmmm. That sounds very strange. The only other thing that comes to mind is perhaps you’re using an older browser that needs to be updated? Do you have another browser you could test to see if you’re having the same issue? If you try that and still have the issue, I’d reach out to support at Photobucket. Good luck!
